Hi everyone and welcome back to my Blog!

If this is your first time visiting then have a look around and find out more about my crazy life of Books, business and bobble hats…

Today has been quite the exciting day, I announced online that I and Little Alf are officially Every Horse Remembered Ambassadors for ‘Brooke Action for Working horses donkeys and Mules.’ Brooke asked me to be an ambassador a couple of months ago and I was thrilled, I really love the work they do across the globe it’s really inspiring.

Brooke is an international charity that protects and improves the lives of the working horses, donkeys and mules that give people in the developing world the opportunity to work their way out of poverty.  Over 100 million of these animals are currently working worldwide, earning an income that around 600 million people rely on to put food on their tables, send their children to school and build better futures for themselves and their families. Sadly, many working horses, donkeys and mules are suffering, so Brooke works in more than 11 developing countries, with owners, communities, service providers, governments and international organisations to make long lasting improvements to the lives of animals and their owners.

Every horse remembered campaign is all about raising awareness for the millions of horses, donkeys and mules that gave their lives in WW1, as well as the millions of equines that still work around the world today. As ambassadors for the charity we will be highlighting the heroic struggle of working horse’s past and present.

Through our role as ambassadors I am delighted to say we are going to be getting involved in all sorts of activities this 2018!

In September I will be taking part in the Great North Run for Brooke, which I am super excited for I have just begun training and have some very achy legs today – Unfortunately Little Alf won’t be joining me on the run but he will be cheering me on from the side line.

As well as this I am organising a charity ‘Cow boy & Cow girl’ dance in summer, I love the whole western theme so I’m going to have lots of fun in the planning process and hopefully Alf will help me pick out a suitable cowboy hat.

I will also be embarking on my second skydive in summer for Brooke, I love skydiving but it’s so nerve wracking when your sat on the edge of the plane waiting to jump…

Lastly I and Alfie are working on lots of other projects as ambassadors and I’m delighted to be involved in the charity. You can keep up to date here via my just giving page – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hannah-russellbrooke

Little Alf and I are so proud to be supporting Brooke’s Every Horse Remembered campaign. The millions of animals who fought in WW1 endured the most horrendous conditions and it’s devastating that, right now, there are still 100 million equines working in very similar environments around the world.

“If you’ve ever loved a horse, donkey, mule or even a cheeky miniature Shetland please help Brooke’s Every Horse Remembered campaign to help prevent the suffering of working animals today.”
